AMCOS MAX SHIELD

Description

Amcos Max Shield Ceramic Emulsion

AMCOS MAX SHIELD CERAMIC EMULSION is an elastomeric water proofing emulsion having very good elasticity and it is designed with a photo initiator technology which cures the film on exposure to sunlight and form a highly durable coating. AMCOS MAX SHIELD CERAMIC EMULSION will prevent water leakages through cracks and other defects in the terrace. The white MAXSHIELD applied on terrace will reflect sunlight thus reduces the room temperature. It is designed to prevent the algal fungal growth thus remains white for long time.

Repeller mat for waterproofing

AMCOS MAXSHIELD REPELLER MAT is a lightweight high strength material for waterproofing and reinforcing, when used in combination with AMCOS MAX SHIELD CERAMIC EMULSION. It maintains its physical properties when wet and is dimensionally stable during humidity changes. AMCOS MAX SHIELD REPELLER MAT has excellent chemical resistance. It is used to strengthen and reinforce the coating and surface. The design of the fabric eliminates air pocket and allows the AMCOS MAX SHIELD CERAMIC EMULSION to flow through and adsorb, forming an impenetrable barrier to water and most other liquids. The excellent conformability of the fabric makes AMCOS MAX SHIELD REPELLER MAT perfect for irregular applications on vertical or horizontal surfaces.

AMCOS MAX SHIELD

About

AMCOS MAX SHIELD is an elastomeric waterproofing system for roofs and terraces. It’s modified acrylic blend system provides water proofing and the white reflective coating helps to reduce the room temperature effectively. AMCOS MAX SHIELD CERAMIC EMULSION in combination with MAX SHIELD REPELLER MAT would give better water proofing and reinforcing to the roof and the terrace

Directions Of use

Apply MAXSHIELD Ceramic Emulsion to the surface about 2 to 4 inches wider than the REPELLER MAT so that the total area underneath the mat is pre-coated. Mat must be laid or rolled into the wet surface. Do not apply MAXSHIELD to a large area as coating might dry before the mat is laid. Lay the mat into the wet surface conforming it to the shape of the surface, thereby eliminating any air pockets, wrinkles or bunching up of the mat. A high density short roller can be used on even surfaces to flatten and smooth out the mat. Allow to dry for 3-4 hours. Apply a second coat of Amcos Max Shield Ceramic Emulsion over the mat thus sandwiching the REPELLER MAT between the two coats of AMCOS MAX SHIELD CERAMIC EMULSION.

Surfaces Preperation

Surface preparation is very important and a critical part determining the life of the coating. Surface should be properly cleaned by pressure wash. A bio wash is required for avoiding any chancesof mold, mildew, algae growth.Surface should be free from dust, moisture, grease or loose particles. Apply AMCOS MAX SHIELD only to sound and well prepared roof surface. If not, necessary civil work is required. Cracks should be properly sealed (Hairline cracks using AMCOS MASTER SEAL, cracks up to 2mm using AMCOS SEAL AND FILL and cracks above 2 mm should be addressed by civil maintenance work). If the plastered surface required extra bonding, a sealer coat-AMCOS PLASTER SEALER is recommended prior to the application of the product which helps to lock down slight loose sands on roof surface. Ensure that a proper slope is maintained at the terrace to avoid any stagnant water.
